Are you looking for safe family fun in the outdoors?
The sprawling Tempe Sports Complex is one of the best places in Tempe to find your competitive spirit. It’s a massive complex with four different baseball fields, seven soccer fields, a skate park, dog park, and even special events area. That makes it one of the best places and most popular ones for sports goers in all of Tempe. You’ll frequently find baseball and soccer tournaments here on the weekend. That means you need to know your BMW is reliable. That may mean a trip to your local auto repair shop is in order.
Don’t forget to bring the dog!
The Tempe Sports Complex Dog Park provides your canine with space to run, even if you don’t have a yard yourself. With an off-leash area, it’s a great place for dogs to socialize and play. Another great benefit of the dog park is that there are only 3 dogs allowed per handler. That makes it much more family dog-friendly areas than those without handler limits.
Pull an olley at the skate park.
With 32,000 square feet of concrete jumps, dips, rails, bowls and more, there’s something for every skill level. This makes it perfect for beginners and experts alike. The sheer size of the park means that there are tons of lines that skaters can take. It also has ledges, pool coping, a vert area, wallride, and even stairs. With so much variability you’ll always find a new line to take in this skatepark.
Catch some offseason practice from the Arizona Cardinals
One of the coolest things you can find at the Sports Complex is the offseason practice area for the Arizona Cardinals. Training happens during the entire month of August and best of all, it’s completely free. When open practice occurs at the Cardinals training camp stadium in the Tempe Sports Complex it’s free to park and watch training. That makes it a great low-cost way to spend an afternoon watching your favorite football team prepare for the upcoming season.
Enjoy a job or walk and watch the action.
THere’s a great walking path that winds around the perimeter of the entire complex. You don’t have to play sports to enjoy the complex. On a Saturday or Sunday it can be nice just to take a stroll around the complex and watch the games in progress. With several rest stops and shady areas, it’s perfect for a leisurely stroll in the beautiful Tempe weather.
